Filtering

Overview

Filtering is a game-changer, allowing you to zoom in on specific subsets of data, uncover trends, spot outliers, and tailor your data for any use case.

We've got two main types of filters at your disposal: List Filters and Date-Time Filters.

List Filters

  • A multi-select list of filter options.
  • Each list filter has a search box, making it easy to locate your desired options.
  • The "All" button allows you to choose all filter options at once.
  • A null option is available, handy for use cases like identifying all users without a Job Title
  • Sort your list filter alphanumerically, either ascending or descending, using the top-right button.
  • By default, only the top 200 filter options are visible, with more loading as you scroll down

Date-Time Filters

  • Perfect for filtering data based on date and time fields.
  • "Between" for specifying a start and end date
  • "On" for focusing on a single day, month, or year
  • "Before" and "After" for filtering data before or after a specific instance.
  • "Last" and "Next" provide relative filtering for various timeframes like last year, next month, etc.
  • "Current" offers a filter for the current day, month, or year.
  • The "Custom" option allows for intricate filtering, be it absolute or relative, such as filtering data for the last three years up until yesterday.

Closing

Once you've made a filter selection, you'll see the name of your choice or choices. Need to make adjustments? A small 'x' to the right of the selected option lets you easily remove filter selections.

A heads up: Filters don't persist after logging out, closing the browser, or shutting down your window. They reset each time you open the application.

Now go ahead, filter away, and make your insights uniquely yours!
